9/08-9/09 ASTOR FAMILY SERVICES CONSULTANT. Poughkeepsie, NY. Family Court Evaluation Service. Performed Psychological Testing to assess fitness to parent, as well as recommendations for court cases.

8/00-8/03 STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST, State University of New York at New Paltz. Supervise the Oasis Coordinator (peer hot-line center). Supervise graduate practicum students, provide long and short-term psychotherapy, crisis intervention, emergency on-call, act as a Consultant for families, staff, and professors, conduct trainings for RD’s, RA’s and other staff, perform outreaches and presentations on various student topics to campus community.

11/99-7/00 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Elder-hostel program at the Westside YMCA, NYC, NY. Co-developed and coordinated twenty-two senior NYC educational programs at the largest YMCA in the US. Prepared budgets and negotiated expenses to achieve high value programs. Trained and supervised all volunteer staff. Created catalogue copy and oversaw all essential academic and non-academic program materials. Attended regional sight meetings to share site statistics, network with other sites, and review all new policies and/or marketing strategies.

8/98-10/99 ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST, Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Worked on one of four Acute Inpatient units. This locked 33 bed facility treated both acute and chronic dually diagnosed patients. Worked closely with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and rehabilitation therapists to develop and implement clinical treatment plans, systemic interventions, and discharge plans. Worked in crisis-type situations regularly. Patients ranged from being homeless, to having bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse and detox issues, as well as an array of organic conditions in addition to malingering patients. Performed individual and group therapy, conducted weekly unit patient meetings, attended individual and group supervision.

9/97-7/98 ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST, Comprehensive Medical Care Services, P.C. Brooklyn, NY. Worked with a team of health care providers that includes a neurologist, neuropsychologist, orthopedic surgeon, chiropractor, and medical technician to provide services to a diverse cultural and economic NYC patient base. Assessed, evaluated, and diagnosed patients who suffered from spinal cord, neck, close-head injuries, mild concussions, and other physical traumas. Treatment plans include individual long and short term therapy, cognitive retraining, pain management, progressive deep relaxation, neuropsychological education, and career counseling.

8/96-8/97 NOTRE DAME COUNSELING CENTER, Predoctoral Internship program at the University Counseling Center, South Bend, IN. APA accredited program. Performed individual long and short term therapy with college undergraduate, graduate and international students on a broad range of clinical issues. Psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, crisis intervention, and couple therapy was utilized. Co-facilitated a year long process therapy group with graduate students. Psychological testing of students to assess suitability for the international Holy Cross Chile program was conducted. Other duties included intakes, screenings, consultation, career counseling, outreaches, and co-supervision of master level practicum students. Participated in training seminars, staff meetings, and program evaluation/development through committee membership. Updated and refined the Counseling Center's Web page.

Co-developed and taught the first Psychology of Women's class to upper division undergraduate students at Notre Dame. This seminar style class was a writing intensive course that included an overview of some of the major issues impacting the psychological and social development of women throughout the life span process.

1/95-5/97 Dissertation, Gender Role Identity and Gender Role Development in Female Adolescent Gang Members. This study explored consistencies and contradictions in self ascribed gender roles of incarcerated gang and non gang young women.

6/95 Scholarship, Rediscovering Justice Conference, University of San Francisco, C.A.

Explored the topic of Justice from various religious perspectives. Speakers from universities, the religious community, and Nobel Peace Prize winners, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Betty Williams. Wrote an essay to be published in a book about the conference. Essay was also placed in a time-capsule at Grace Cathedral to be opened in 50 years.
